To be eligible for extending your visa status, you should be currently in the U.S. with a valid H-2B visa.
If you're already in the U.S. on an H-2B visa and want to stay for another season with a new employer, you can apply for an extension before your current visa expires. You can actually get extensions for up to three years, so there's no need to return to Jamaica right away.
