What is the Social Security Number (SSN)/Card?

The Social Security Number is similar to our local (Jamaica) TRN Number.  It is required in order to work legally in the US.  You can apply for one when you arrive at your job destination.  The sponsor, or host employer, will provide information on how and where to apply.
